Overview
Midland Transport is currently seeking a full-time Linehaul Planning Analyst to be based out of our Head office location in Dieppe, NB.
Reporting to the Linehaul Planning Manager, the Linehaul Planning Analyst will be responsible for the daily analytics and reporting related to the Sales and Operational Execution (S&OE) process. Additionally, the role will be a key contributor to building the Linehaul Budget.

Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with different functional departments (L/H Operations, Rail, Michelin, Midland Logistics, Customer Service, CI, Project Management, Finance) including leading meetings when necessary
- Through the S&OE process, improve metrics pertaining to Service, Cost, and Utilization as they relate to Linehaul Planning
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and following Standard Processes to reduce costs and improve the overall planning process
- Measure and monitor existing key processes for internal and external customers as they relate to volume analysis and customer experience improvement
- Leverage data to develop custom analytics/reporting tools to be used in business intelligence software such as Cognos/Alteryx/SQL/Power BI
- Develop ad-hoc reports as required for management
Qualifications
- Education Required: College Diploma or University Degree
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in the transportation industry will be considered an asset
- Demonstrated analytical strength with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and creative problem‑solving
- Effective communication with the ability to generate detailed reports, and collaborate to resolve issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in utilizing various software tools to produce clear, data‑driven documentation
- Previous experience using AS 400 is an asset
