Legal Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team
The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal assistant work, however having an administrative background in an office/dental/medical environment would be seen as an asset. Please note that this is an in-office position.
Our successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
currently reside in New Brunswick and able to reside in the Fredericton area
a minimum of 1-year legal assistant experienced is preferred
solid organizational and time management skills
ability to work independently and collaboratively with our team
able to multitask and know how to prioritize assignments
pay strong attention to detail and produce great quality work
strong verbal and written communication in English (French is an asset)
able to maintain confidentiality at all times
knowledge of technology in an office setting and working with Microsoft 365
have a strong work ethic and take pride in your work
have reliable transportation
Your primary responsibilities would be as follows:
prepare correspondence, memos, assign tasks, and maintain a diarized limitation system
assist with document preparation via digital dictation
enter time entries using our accounting software
organize and maintain electronic and paper filing
provide relief reception when required
other legal assistant duties as requested
