Course: KIN 275 - 040 Introduction to Nutrition
Department: Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies
Session: Spring 2026, May 4 – June 17, 2026
Position Title: Sessional Lecturer
Responsibilities
This course will provide an introduction to the macro and micro nutrients vital to health and well‑being, with specific reference to the Dietary Reference Intakes and Canada’s Food Guide to Health Eating. Emphasis will be on their function, metabolism, and dietary sources.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in an area appropriate for the course (e.g., Kinesiology, Nutrition, Dietetics).
- Completed courses in the subject area at a graduate or undergraduate level from an accredited post‑secondary institution; transfer credit will be considered.
- Demonstrated, relevant work experience in Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, and/or Dietetics (asset).
- Physically able to perform the demands of the position.
Working Conditions
- Salary: As per URFA collective agreement.
- Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m., in person on campus.
- Term: Sessional, fully part‑time.
