Interested in joining one of Canada's top performing asset managers? We are looking for a
summer intern
to join the Product Transitions team for a
4 to 8-month term
starting May 2026. This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into the life cycle of our funds from operational set-up to launch and ongoing oversight. The successful candidate will develop valuable experience overseeing a variety of funds domiciled in Canada, US, Cayman Islands and Ireland. The Product Transitions team is responsible for coordinating the operational set up, launch and restructure of our funds for all of CC&L's affiliates. The team is responsible for creating and executing transition plans using a structured and tailored approach by understanding needs of clients, investment managers, investment strategies and operational requirements. The team manages over 100 transitions annually.

What You Will Do
Product development and transitions:

  • Exploratory aspect of the role to have exposure to developing and launching new funds
  • Assist with market opening for our funds; preparing required documentation for global markets, corresponding with external custodians and brokers, and maintaining internal records

Fund Oversight

  • Maintain internal fund tracking sheets to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
  • Monitor and respond to global market access requirements including fund ultimate beneficial ownership reporting.

Relationship Management

  • Work effectively with internal and external teams to ensure a high level of service.
  • Raise issues in an appropriate manner and following up on issues for a resolution.
  • Manage relationships across a broad scope of stakeholders including legal, compliance, accounting, fund operations, sales, fund administrators and custodians.

Process Efficiency

  • Review processes for efficiency and automation.

What You Bring
You'll be a great fit if you love to solve problems, enjoy working in a time-sensitive environment, and have an interest and experience in the investment industry. We are always looking for new ideas to automate or improve the efficiency of our processes.

  • Studying for a university degree (or similar) in a relevant field such as Economics, Commerce or Accounting
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications with a focus on Excel. Experience with Power BI and Power Automate is an asset.
  • Excellent writing, listening and presentation skills with a proven ability to disseminate information effectively to others
  • Well organized with strong attention to detail, able to focus on multiple priorities for extended periods of time and capable meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to think broadly and ask questions to gain deep understanding of the task's purpose and process flow
  • A natural talent for creative and independent thinking; continuous learner, always looking for ways to improve

The salary for this position is 45, ,000 CAD annualized. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation.
