Responsibilities
- In conjunction with Continuous Improvement initiative, recommends work standards by studying operational requirements; utilizing work-measurement techniques; applying standard measurements and time study principle.
- Investigates, recommends, prepares and co-ordinates amendment requests to the master maintenance schedule. Ensure the integrity of the technical details incorporated in the Master Maintenance Schedule.
- Schedule and executes corrections/revisions/updates as required.
- Is a standing member of the PEG and RCM committees with the Customer providing guidance and assurance that Alstom’s best interests are reflected in any maintenance changes in relation to time required to complete tasks.
- Update Master Maintenance Schedule as required.
- Maintain maintenance process documents for scheduled maintenance activities of repairs and testing procedures.
- Provides optimum labor hour estimates for special projects based on Engineering Instructions and prototype.
- Create sequential detailed job plans with tasks, and material pick lists for special projects and other job types.
- Monitor the equipment maintenance schedules and advise Planners of workload or maintenance changes to allow planners to balance equipment train cycles, in regard to increased or decreased maintenance requirements.
- Validates work order durations against optimal times estimates in maintenance manual.
Qualifications
- University or College degree or certification an asset.
- 5 years of experience required
- Sound understanding of basic industrial engineering principles as they relate to work study, process analysis and resource planning.
- Familiarization with rolling stock equipment is a strong asset.
- Project management skills are an asset.
- Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Working knowledge of MS Office package.
- Basic knowledge of database software (MS Access, Maximo) is a plus.
- Good English, reading, writing and speaking skills required.
- Limited Travel as required for operational needs.
