Job Overview
Full time - 40 hours per week
Pay: $23.50 - $29.10 + House Leader Allowance.
Location: Hamilton, North Island.
We have more than 100 worksites and support options across the North Island. In our residential service, we provide services for adults with intellectual and or physical disabilities within their homes and in their community. We provide 24 hour support which consists of a rotating roster Monday through Sunday.
Our House Leader role combines support work and motivates a team in the home. Working and gaining guidance from your Service Coordinator you would supervise to ensure that the service is efficient and effective for the people we support in a community home.

Skills & Experience
- Experience leading a team, with ability to coach and develop individuals.
- Effective report writing skills.
- Organise and allocate rosters.
- Exposure to balancing general ledgers.
- Ability to communicate effectively and supportively with the people you support, their families, and your coordinator.
- Fit enough for an active role involving sports, community engagement, recreational activities, and personal care.
- Excellent, clear, understandable verbal and written English is a prerequisite.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience supporting people with disabilities and/or challenging behaviours.
- Reliability, commitment, and passion for working with people.
- A driver's licence.
- A relevant qualification.
- Ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word and email.
Requirements
If you are a non-resident applying for this role you must meet the following INZ Level 3 skill requirements to be considered:
- Have worked in the care workforce for 2 years or more, and been paid at least the care workforce wage rate during that time.
- A relevant qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) — at least a level 4 qualification for a level 3 role, or a diploma for a level 2 role.
