Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary. Lift experience preferred
- Support clients with dementia care and hospice care needs, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors or family members.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred but not training provided for the right candidate.
- Strong verbal and written English skills required
- Ability to perform safe lifting as needed for client mobility support.
- Experience working with persons with disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Understanding of dementia care principles is beneficial.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
