Golf Course Labourer

Job Description

Dol Turf is a recognized leader in the sports turf industry as a full-service provider specializing in turf services, bespoke construction, restoration and management of sports fields, and golf courses.

We are currently looking for Golf Course Labourers to join our team. Sites will be in the Region of Peel, and Bruce, Grey and Dufferin Counties. Staff will be selected for sites closest to their homes. If you have a keen interest in sports and golf, and enjoy the outdoors, this position might be for you

Work Responsibilities:

· Cutting grass, trimming hedges and other landscape work

· Collecting garbage from the course

· Raking bunkers

· Preparing the course for play

· Assisting with the maintenance of course equipment if necessary

· Follow all health and safety regulations and operate accordingly

· Any other suitable duties as determined by your manager

Job Requirements:

· Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting/carrying up to 25kg and work in varying weather conditions

· Use hand and power tools as necessary

· Comfortable working independently and in a team environment

· Possess a class G license with a clean abstract and transportation to the course

· Criminal record check required

· Previous golf course maintenance, landscape or farm experience is an asset but not required

Employment will be full time seasonal from July to October. Average work hours are approximately 40-50 hours/week.
