Golf course grounds crew for Queenston & St.Davids Golf Club
Full and part time hours available
About the courses: Two nine hole courses located along the Niagara escarpment Par 35 each course (established in 1967 and 1932) approximately 3 mins apart, well known for being open all year weather permitting although work is mostly from March to November.Looking for a hands-on dedicated individuals with strong initiative to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
As a member of the grounds crew activities may include:
-Daily maintenance of the golf course including mowing greens tees fairways and rough using a variety of equipment.
- raking, weeding and trimming other areas
-general upkeep including debris removal
-assisting in small landscape projects and repairs
-cleaning of equipment after tasks are completed
Qualifications and key skills:
-Golf course or landscaping experience preferred but not required
-Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
-Valid drivers license
-Safe operation of equipment
-Ability to work outdoors for an extended periods of time including early morning starts
-Ability to perform tasks that may be physically demanding including pushing, pulling and lifting, reaching and repetitive motions. Extended periods of time walking, sitting or standing.
-Strong communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 45 per week
Work Location: In person
