Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone relatively new to the maintenance or construction industry who has some hands-on experience and is eager to build their skills.
You'll support general property upkeep, light repairs, cleaning tasks, and improvement projects. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in maintenance, repairs, and light construction while working in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and deep cleaning tasks
Assist with minor repairs and general property upkeep
Basic drywall repair (patching, sanding, touch-ups)
light construction tasks and small renovation projects
Painting and finishing work
Moving materials, equipment, and heavy items as required
Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks
Maintaining tools and keeping work areas organized and safe
Supporting larger projects under supervision
Qualifications
Some previous experience in maintenance, construction, renovation, or related field preferred
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Reliable transportation is an asset
Ability to work independently and take direction well
