Job description:
Our client is a globally integrated processor and distributor of industrial materials. As they continue to expand their Waterdown operations, we are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Forklift Operator/ Labourers to support warehouse workflow, material handling, and processing activities.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of forklift work, equipment operation, and hands-on labour duties in a stable, long-term environment.
Shifts:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 10:00pm
Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday 10:00pm to 6:00am
Duties / Responsibilities:
· Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and front-end loaders for material movement
· Run legacy dryer and slag milling equipment (training provided)
· Pick orders using a warehouse management system to ensure accuracy
· Load and unload trucks while ensuring safe and proper material handling
· Complete routine equipment inspections and safety checks
· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe traffic flow within the facility
· Work closely with a supportive team to keep operations running smoothly
Skills / Experience:
· Valid 3rd party forklift license and proven forklift operating experience
· Experience with scissor lifts and front-end loaders (or willingness to learn)
· Understanding of warehouse operations, distribution, or material handling
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
· Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset
· Reliable, organized, and team-oriented attitude
