Job Description
Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator (MHE - Man-Up Operator) to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Man up forklifts and working in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and maintain records
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with the equipment
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order picking
- Familiarity with clamp trucks for handling specific types of loads is a plus
- Ability to perform order picking efficiently and accurately
- Capable of heavy lifting as required in a warehouse environment
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems to manage inventory
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
