THE POSITION
ATTA Elevators is seeking a qualified individual to join our team located at the Dartmouth office. This position will report directly to the Regional VP. The Field Operations Coordinator primary responsibility will be to oversea the coordination of all modernization, new installation, and project Duties and responsibilities. These duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding additional maintenance scheduling, project updates and communications, and service inquiries.
- Provide timely updates, follow-ups, and clear communication on project status, timelines, and any changes.
- Handle escalations professionally and work collaboratively to resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain a strong customer service mindset to support positive client relationships and overall satisfaction.
Project Coordination & Logistics
- Assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring elevator repair, modernization, and installation projects from award through completion.
- Work with Field Operations Supervisor and Project Estimator to develop project schedules, coordinate site access, and ensure required information is gathered ahead of technician dispatch.
- Track project progress, identify potential delays or conflicts, and proactively communicate adjustments.
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, including work plans, safety requirements, and schedules.
Technician Coordination
- Schedule and dispatch service technicians for scheduled tasks, testing, repairs, and project work in Modernization and New Installation.
- Balance technician workloads and prioritize assignments based on urgency and skillset.
- Work with Field Supervisor & Service Manager to ensure technicians have required information, support, and resources before attending onsite work.
- Work with Field Supervisor & Service Manager to monitor technician progress throughout the day and adjust plans as required.
Material Ordering & Vendor Coordination
- Source and order parts, equipment, and materials as needed for maintenance and project work.
- Track lead times & material deliveries. Receive and organize materials into warehouse.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and purchasing teams to resolve delays or shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchase orders, and material usage.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain project files, schedules, and Project tracker.
- Assist with project startup & closeout documents.
- Support compliance with safety regulations, documentation standards, and company policies.
- Provide general administrative support to the Service Manager & Field Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Required:
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem solving skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in project coordination, operations support, or scheduling (elevator/technical service industry preferred).
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Self-starter, High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience in the elevator, construction, mechanical, or technical service industries.
- Knowledge of elevator components, terminology, and service processes.
- Understanding of project logistics, procurement, and field operations.
