Position Summary
Excellent opportunity for a Palliative Care Physician interested in working in a partnership between the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) and the Cancer Centre in Kelowna. This position provides a flexible clinical and academic role where you will work both as an acute inpatient consultant at KGH and an outpatient consultant at the Cancer Centre, Cancer Pain and Symptom Management Clinic. This is a newer program with plenty of opportunity for program development. The program has a multidisciplinary team approach to clinics and an enjoyable teamwork environment. Applicants must meet requirements of provincial College of Physician and Surgeons, BC Cancer, and Kelowna General Hospital. Qualifications
- Eligible for licensure with CPSBC, full or provisional
- Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
- Year of Added Competency in Palliative care (YAC) if CCFP trained, or equivalent training and experience. OR Royal College background with equivalent certification via leadership route
