Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fabrication Welder (Contractor) to join our dynamic team at the Red Deer location. As a Fabrication Welder, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, contributing to the fabrication and assembly of components for various solar projects, including residential, commercial, and large industrial fields.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proven fitting and fabrication expertise, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks.
- Operate a range of equipment, including plasma cutters, angle grinders, die grinders, pedestal grinders, impact drivers, and drills.
- Utilize hand tools effectively, encompassing hammers, mallets, stamps, punches, chisels, clamps, and utility knives.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Promptly report any issues or potential hazards to the Welding Supervisor.
- Follow all company policies and procedures concerning work processes and safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in arc welding, MIG welding, and interpreting blueprints/engineered drawings.
- Possess CWB certification and Journeyperson Welder Certification or equivalent years of practical experience.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in all aspects of fabrication.
- Possess a working knowledge of CWB standards.
- Strong background in safety practices, prioritizing the well-being of oneself and fellow team members.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including overtime, as project demands require.
