Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Events Security Manager to oversee and manage security operations for large-scale events in Vancouver, BC.

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing comprehensive security strategies for high-profile sporting events, concerts, and other major events, including the World Cup.

The ideal candidate has proven experience managing large event security teams, ensuring public safety, and working with high-profile clients, stakeholders, and law enforcement agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for large-scale events.
  • Lead, supervise, and deploy security personnel (including supervisors and guards).
  • Conduct pre-event risk assessments and site inspections.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, venue management, and event organizers.
  • Manage crowd control strategies and emergency response procedures.
  • Oversee access control, VIP protection, backstage security, and asset protection.
  • Ensure compliance with all British Columbia security regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Conduct post-event reporting, incident documentation, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and training for event security teams.
  • Ensure all staff maintain required certifications and follow company SOPs.
  • Oversee equipment inventory and assignment to personnel.
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling to ensure coverage compliance.
  • Conduct training and performance management.
  • Work with Client personnel and law enforcement before, during and after events.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid British Columbia Security Worker License (in good standing).
  • An Advanced Security Training (AST) license is an asset.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing security operations for large-scale events.
  • Demonstrated experience with high-profile sports events, concerts, festivals, and VIP events.
  • Strong knowledge of crowd management and emergency response protocols
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience working with professional sports leagues, major concert promoters, or large event venues.
  • Occupational First Aid (OFA Level 1 or higher).
  • Experience with risk management planning and emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Additional certifications in crisis management or public safety.
  • Clean criminal record and ability to pass background checks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
