**Job Description**

We deliver reliable results across commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. We are expanding and seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Operator to join our team. The Equipment Operator will safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment for civil construction projects. This role demands proven experience with bulk excavation and deep excavation, including cuts, trenches, backfills, and complex earth-moving tasks. The ideal candidate is a skilled operator with strong grading ability, excellent awareness, and experience working around utilities and tight spaces.
**Responsibilities**
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and skid steers.
Perform bulk excavation for large-scale earthworks, site prep, cut-and-fill, and mass grading.
Execute deep excavation for shoring, trenching, and underground infrastructure.
Load trucks, place materials, and execute safe movement around active job sites.
Conduct shotcrete trimming for precise trimming of shoring.
Understand and follow grade stakes, plans, and directions from foremen and grade personnel.
Maintain accurate and efficient cuts, slopes, and grades.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
Work collaboratively with laborers and operators to maintain safe, productive site operations.
Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards at all times.
**Essential Skills**
3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment machines (CAT 349, 352, 374).
Valid Heavy Equipment Operator ticket.
Experience with deep excavation.
Physically capable
Good communication skills.
Possess a vehicle and a valid driver''s license.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience with shoring.
Level 1 or 2 First Aid certification.
Bobcat or skid steer ticket.
WHMIS certification.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes a start time of 6:30am to 2pm, located in Port Moody. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays being optional. Our team values safety and collaboration, ensuring a productive and enjoyable workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
