Part‑Time and Full‑Time Positions Available (open until filled)
The fully accredited Brandon Regional Health Centre has 300+ beds and receives about 29,000+ emergency visits per year, with greater than 60% being CTAS 1–3. BRHC works in conjunction with the provincial trauma service providing much of the trauma care to Western Manitoba. There are also teaching opportunities for those interested, as Brandon hosts a University of Manitoba, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences satellite campus for various clinical clerk and resident training positions.
Hours
- A 1.00 EFT position consists of ~1400 hours per year
- A 0.75 EFT position consists of ~1050 hours per year
- A 0.50 EFT position consists of ~700 hours per year

About the Region and City
Prairie Mountain Health covers a geographically large area of about 67,000 sq. km, and runs east‐west from Saskatchewan/St Manitoba border communities like Benito, Elkhorn and Russell to Waterhen Lake, Lake Manitoba and Treherne. From north–south, the region runs from the 53rd parallel north of Mafeking and close to Dawson Bay, all the way down to the U.S. border near Melita, Deloraine, Boissevain, Killarney and Cartwright. The population is just over 168,000 (12.6% of the provincial population).
Brandon is a thriving city with a population of over 51,000, located 200 km west of Winnipeg on the Trans‑Canada Highway. It supplies all retail, medical, educational and cultural needs daily and has a lower cost of living. Brandon University offers strong music, general arts and science programs, and Assiniboine Community College provides a wide range of education options. Nearby attractions include Riding Mountain National Park, Peace Gardens, and other recreational areas. Brandon is a vibrant community to live, work and play.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree, CCFP (or equivalent), FRCPC or CCFP (EM) – (EM must be obtained within 4 years of start date)
- Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba
- ATLS, ACLS, PALS, Airway course, Procedural sedation (must be obtained within 6 months of start date)
- Point of Care Ultrasound (within 2 years of start date)

Compensation
- In accordance with the Manitoba Health/Doctors Manitoba Agreement ($253.02–$444.32/hour depending on the shift)
