**Job Title: Testing Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Testing Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and special tests on products such as transformers, power metering products, and distribution units. You will also assist in assembling products according to specifications by following blueprints and schematics, interpret standard documentation for custom appliances, and assemble mechanical components while fitting and aligning them. Your role will include recommending improvements in products, processes, and practices, ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to Health and Safety procedures, and complying with all ISO 9001 policies and procedures.
**Responsibilities**
Perform routine and special tests on transformers, power metering products, distribution units, and other integrated systems.
Assist in the assembly of products to specifications by following blueprints and schematics.
Interpret standard documentation and apply it to custom appliances.
Assemble mechanical components, including fitting and aligning them.
Recommend improvements in products, processes, and practices.
Work safely in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.
Adhere to all ISO 9001 policies and procedures.
**Essential Skills**
Proficiency in electrical assembly and testing.
Strong understanding of electronics and schematics.
Experience with high voltage electrical and power systems.
At least 3+ years of similar experience.
Experience working with hand and power tools.
Educational background in Electrical Engineering.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Licensed industrial electricians are highly considered.
A diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Electro-mechanical studies from a community college or equivalent is a strong asset.

**Work Environment**
The role involves working in the main final assembly building within designated testing bays, utilizing organized materials for efficiency. You will work in teams to complete necessary testing on power distribution units, requiring comfort in close quarters and teamwork. The facility provides good lighting, although it may be a bit dusty. Shifts include a day shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
