Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support diverse learners, including children with disabilities. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, promoting social-emotional growth, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure each child's success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioral development of children through positive guidance and communication.
- Assess children's progress regularly and maintain detailed records of developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to tailor educational strategies for children with special needs or disabilities.
- Utilize technology for record keeping, lesson planning, and communicating with parents or guardians.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and time management.
- Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities, fostering teamwork among staff members.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development theories, and best practices.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills—verbal and written—to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to operate computers for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
- Valid ECE certificate.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
