Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Produce Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring delivery of the freshness, quality, and proper presentation of produce items. The ideal candidate will have a strong morning work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate refrigerated straight truck safely. Duties

• Load and organize fresh produce skids onto the truck to ensure attractive presentation and easy access for customers
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery to move large quantities of produce efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the truck
• Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and rotating products to minimize waste
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols when handling freight and operating commercial driving equipment
• Support other departments as needed, including assisting with freight handling or automotive repair tasks when required
• maintenance scheduling and maintenance of the equipment and truck they use.

Requirements

• Prior experience with forklift operation, freight handling, or heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary
• Ability to operate commercial driving vehicles safely is a plus
• Provide a drivers abstract and be able to pass insurance requirements
• Knowledge of automotive repair or related skills is advantageous but not required
• Strong physical stamina to lift or push heavy loads
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and follow safety procedures at all times
• Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications related to equipment operation

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 7 months

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Zephyr, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Air Brake Endorsement, D License (required)
