Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, hard-working, and reliable Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring our clients receive outstanding support and assistance with their off grid systems and products. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, a solid understanding of renewable energy concepts, and experience with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails from clients, providing exceptional customer service and technical support.

  • Interact with customers to address inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions related to solar and off grid living products and services.

  • Perform administrative duties, including managing customer records and processing orders.

  • Utilize POS systems (such as Shopify) to assist with sales transactions and inventory management.

  • Contribute to website updates and content management to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to customers.

  • Attend trade shows and industry events to represent Canadian Off Grid, engage with potential clients, and promote our products and services.

  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve complex issues and improve client experiences.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our product offerings and renewable energy technologies to effectively assist customers.

  • Support the team in various tasks as needed to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic knowledge of renewable energy systems, particularly solar technology, is an asset.

  • Experience with POS systems, such as Shopify, is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications.
