Eligibility: You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Candidates must obtain and maintain the required security clearance (Reliability or Secret). Minimum age in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba is required. Currently enrolled in engineering, engineering technology, environmental science, or related field at an accredited college or university. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred. Eligible to work in Canada.

What you can expect


You will build a network of colleagues across various disciplines and gain office and field experience in construction, environmental and project management work. You may support the following tasks:



  • Monitoring tasks related to inspection, environmental/construction contracts, and control of materials.

  • Checking compliance with contractual requirements and reporting deviations.

  • Maintaining records, schedules and documents, and preparing standard reports.

  • Supporting renovation and new construction projects.

  • Participating in the tendering phases of construction and/or environmental contracts by reviewing plans and specifications.

  • Participating in consultant, construction and staff meetings.


Your salary


The remuneration for post‑secondary students will align with the pay rates established by the Government of Canada’s Treasury Board guidelines. Compensation will be determined by the student’s academic level and experience.

Security Clearance


As a condition of employment, the appropriate security clearance is required. Candidates must ensure they can obtain and maintain the required clearance. The clearance process may involve criminal record checks, reference checks, previous employment verification, open source checks, credit/financial status checks, and potentially fingerprinting.
