Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of concrete work, including forming, installation, and restoration. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various structures and surfaces.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as setting up forms, cutting rebar, making ladder, pouring, and finishing concrete.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
- Perform concrete forming activities, ensuring proper alignment and support during the curing process.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor as part of daily responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete work or related fields is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to concrete labor.
- Familiarity with concrete forming techniques and masonry practices is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking on job sites.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety practices on-site.
- A willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to concrete installation and restoration.
- Appropriate PPE required, Steel toed boots/shoes, hard hat, carpentry apron, hammer and weather appropriate wear.
