Duties
- Diagnose hardware and software issues in computer systems.
- Perform repairs and upgrades on desktops, laptops, macbooks and peripherals.
- Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and network devices.
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and inventory.
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement new technologies and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices.
- Assist in training users on new software or hardware functionalities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Computer Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A commitment to continuous learning in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
