Title: Community Health Practice Consultant - Internal Only

Salary: $99,505 – $122,073 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Full time, permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)

Location: Northern Region, B.C. – Hybrid (50% in office) & remote work (Can live anywhere in Northern B.C.)

Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About The Role

As Community Health Practice Consultant, you will – provide education, thought leadership and consultation on clinical practice services that includes orientation, training, in-service, clinical support and clinical competency assessment to nurses who provide health services to First Nations communities in British Columbia. You will deliver professional nursing practice and program consultation supporting the development, implementation, and management of community-based nursing programs.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be –

Bachelor's degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Three (3) years of experience in community/public health nursing providing clinical practice support and education to nurses or an acceptable combination of education, training, and professional experience.
Experience Nursing in First Nations communities.
Eligibility or current registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP).
Current certification in immunizations and communicable disease.
