Job Description
A to Z Speech Therapy in Innisfil is hiring a part-time with possibility of full -time permanent Communicative Disorders Assistant working under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist for a pediatric clinic. This is an independent contractor position but can be negotiated as employee if interested.
A to Z Speech Therapy is a small interdisciplinary clinic (1 SLP, 2 CDAs, 1 OT) with full time office management support in Innisfil. Innisfil is a fast growing beach community with a very young population so there are a lot of opportunities to grow your caseload. We are very close knit due to our size so we are looking for the right candidate that is interested in a smaller laid-back clinic with supportive and easy-going staff.
The therapist will be given an already existing caseload of 10 plus clients and will have the opportunity to make their own schedule, build their own caseload and work when and how much they want. Hours are flexible monday to friday with evenings between 3-6 pm required and 1 saturday until 12pm biweekly.
This is a clinic based position with the possibility of some home visits locally and online/virtual appointments.
Therapist Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist implementing therapy goals identified during the assessment
- Provide one-on-one therapy and write progress notes based on CASLPO guidelines
- Manage your own caseload and schedule
- Work collaboratively and as a team.
Clinic responsibilities

Experience and Qualifications
- Completion of the Communication Disorders Program with a registered College.
- New grads welcome.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues, clients and their families, and third parties
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and able to follow therapy plan laid out by the Speech-Language Pathologist
- Has a good understanding of their role as CDA.
- Is honest, hard-working, flexible and a team player.
- Has experience and is comfortable working with autism spectrum disorders.
Education: Completion of the COmmunication Disorders Program and Bachelor's Degree.
