Responsibilities

• Ability to do a complete boiler and mechanical room estimate and install
• Maintenance, service, and repair of boilers and other gas equipment
• Quote and lead installations of boilers in commercial buildings
• Properly staged jobs and adhere to quality and safety checklists
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-inventoried company vehicle
• Work alone or as a team lead with other journeypersons and apprentices
• Mentor and train gas fitter apprentices
• Participate actively in all formal exercises and training to stay up to date in your trade
• Comfortable talking to customers in a client-facing role

Qualifications and Requirements

• Holder of a A-Gas ticket (or equivalent) required
• Minimum 5 years experience as an A-fitter required
• Holder of Red Seal HVAC/R or Plumbing ticket
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on 500,000 BTU boilers
• Hydronic specialist in boiler installation, service, and planned maintenance
• Experience working on direct fired makeup air required
• Light industrial experience would be an asset
• Willing to mentor and teach apprentices
• Great customer service skills
• Complete knowledge of all tools, equipment, and materials needed to perform service on commercial gas equipment and all codes governing those services
• Proficient use of a computer; familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Class 5 license with a clean driving record
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in English
• Ability to pass a Police Background Check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

• gasfitter: 5 years (required)
• Boiler: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Canadian Residency or Valid Canadian Work Permit (required)
• Gas A ticket (required)

Work Location: On the road
