Job Description
Catholic Independent Schools, Diocese of Prince George (CISPG) is a Catholic Community of Learners with a central focus on three anchors: Bold, Intentional Faith Formation; Innovative Learning; and Healthy Communities.
The Director of Learning Services is a key leadership role that supports eight CISPG schools in six communities, grades K-9. The Director of Learning Services will provide leadership in Innovative Learning and Inclusive Education to all eight schools. They will report directly to the CISPG Superintendent.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with and advise the Superintendent on matters of learning and inclusive education
- Support and collaborate with CISPG principals; lead and support the CISPG Learning Services Team Teacher Leads (LST Leads), the Christian Education Consultant, and CISPG Learning Resource Teachers
- Support principals and staffs with the implementation of Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP's), as per the recent Ministry Mandate
- Support schools by clarifying Inclusive Education policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with Ministry expectations
- Communicate on a regular basis with CISPG educators regarding learning and inclusive education: e.g., CISPG Learning Updates, Ministry updates
- Connect, collaborate and network with other provincial partners (e.g. CISVA and other Districts/Dioceses, POPEY)
- Other duties as assigned

The Director of Learning Services is a key leadership role that supports eight CISPG schools in six communities, grades K-9. QUALIFICATIONS
- BC teacher certification and relevant Master's degree; Inclusive Education Diploma/Certification
- Must be a practicing Catholic with a positive Pastor Reference
- Minimum 5 years of successful leadership experience as a Principal or Director, with demonstrated success leading system level initiatives, supervising staff and contributing to diocesan/district priorities
- Exceptional communication, relational and leadership skills with a proven track record in facilitating, mentoring, supervising and leading
- A recognized model in demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality, and good judgement
- Deep understanding of the BC Curriculum
- Deep understanding of Inclusive Education policies and procedures including strong, demonstrated practice in learning support, behaviour intervention, assessment practice and IEP/case management. Must be able to guide and support school leaders in implementing Ministry requirements and CISPG Policies

Compensation: $148,000 - $155,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. The successful applicant will have a budget for travel expenses.
