About the Role
Jardeg is currently recruiting for Carpenter Apprentices to join the Technical Workforce Inc. team at the Regina Specialized Long Term Care project in Regina, SK.
At this time, this position is for local candidates only, as it does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.
This position is a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Build forms for concrete
- Cut, shape, and join
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
- Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Study blueprints for work planning
- Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or take appropriate measures
- General site upkeep
Minimum Requirements
- Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Experience with concrete formwork required
- Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
- Fall Protection is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
