Overview
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The main object and purpose of this position is to generate sales growth and profits for the satellite in accordance with the corporate sales vision and for the coordination of the sales activities. The incumbent is responsible for the development and coaching of the satellite team and the organization of training programs while promoting ALC’s safety and quality objectives. Responsibilities
- Sells and negotiates: Responsible for sales and profitability targets and ensures the implementation of pricing and discount policies. Covers the existing customer territories and prospects potential customers. Assists the Account Executive in visiting customers when necessary. Communicates with customers to obtain a clear and precise idea of their requirements and follows appropriate sales procedures.
- Coordinates sales and price management activities with Sales Manager: Collaborates to determine and implement local targets for satellite sales aligned with corporate objectives. Reviews sales reports, identifies non-profitable accounts, and makes necessary pricing or supply corrections. Develops sales campaigns and supports approved sales promotions from suppliers and in-house directives. Reviews sales reports indicating sales growth and trends to take corrective measures.
- Accounts Receivable: Maintains satellite’s accounts receivable within targeted levels. In collaboration with the Administration Supervisor, ensures the credit policy is followed by all team members and approves credit applications of new customers. Facilitates collection of outstanding balances and assists accounts payable service in attaining Regional Center objectives.
- Satellite activities coordination: Works with Supply Chain Supervisor to ensure efficient management of distribution and transportation. Ensures inventory levels meet customer requirements and corporate objectives. Ensures adherence to distribution schedules. Assists in solving customer cylinder management issues and collection of accounts receivable. Coordinates work distribution for team members and establishes objectives for each.
- Quality / Safety: Promotes ALC safety objectives. Follows all procedures in the ALC Quality Manual. Ensures appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place to address customer complaints. Adheres to GMP as it pertains to medical gases and medical devices within the role scope.
- Logistics management: Optimizes logistics resources, supervises planning and coordination for distribution of cylinders and welding products, and adjusts supplies to optimize stock levels. Analyzes demand and ensures material allocation accordingly.
- Coaching and development: Motivates and develops team members (drivers, dispatchers, storekeepers, etc.). Ensures individuals have the skills, training, and resources to operate autonomously. Conducts performance evaluations and shares industry knowledge.
- Process improvement: Works with the team and multifunctional teams to continuously improve work processes. Analyses activity, identifies causes of problems, and proposes corrective measures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma: post-secondary diploma or combination of studies and experience in cylinders, welding products and industrial products.
- Training: Quality System (ISO).
- Knowledge: computer systems, MS Office, written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, bilingualism where required.
- Experience: 5 years related experience.
