Location: We are seeking a Banquet Server for the Niagara Falls Convention Centre located in Niagara Falls.

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

We are steps away from the iconic Niagara Falls waterfall. Our venue offers over 200,000 square feet of convention space, we are located in the Entertainment District, and proximity to over 4,000 branded guest rooms.

Principle Function:

The Banquet Server at Sodexo Live is responsible for providing efficient and professional service during catered events, ensuring guests receive a high-quality experience. This role involves setting up and breaking down event spaces, serving food and beverages, and adhering to company standards for service and presentation. The Banquet Server contributes to the overall success of events by maintaining a positive and professional attitude throughout each function.

This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. The Banquet Server supports Sodexo Live's mission by delivering exceptional service that exceeds client and guest expectations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Setup, service, and breakdown of catered events.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Understanding of event logistics, ability to read workorders and knowledge of different service styles (buffet/plated/reception).

Qualifications

• Smart Serve Certificate
• Experience in banquet and bartending and asset.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Other Requirements:

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
