Viva Deli Inc. is a growing food processing plant specializing in traditional Eastern European products such as perogies, pelemeni, and dumplings. We are committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a positive and safe working environment.
Position Summary
We are currently seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to help oversee daily operations in our busy processing facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical experience. This role requires someone who can take leadership from day one, implement and improve production processes for efficiency and quality, and lead the team with confidence and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Ability to anticipate and troubleshoot problems before they impact production flow.
- Communicate effectively with the operations manager and other departments as needed
- Support scheduling, training, workflow planning and other tasks to uphold steady production
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and production experience is an asset
- Hands-on leader who doesn't need constant oversight
- Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing/processing environment preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, and able to work in a team
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Flexible with working hours based on production needs
- Positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or a reliable form of transportation
