Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality is essential, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. A background in supervising teams, managing restaurant or hotel operations, and handling food safety protocols will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow.
• Supervise and motivate team members, including interviewing, training, and scheduling staff to maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
• Manage cash handling procedures and POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems.
• Support customer service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service, including serving and hospitality duties when necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
• Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
• Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment and fostering teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, including supervising teams and managing restaurant operations.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
• Previous experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with interviewing and onboarding new team members.
• Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices in restaurant management.
