**Job Title: Apprentice Pipefitter**
**Job Description**
Join our Pipefitting team focusing on process piping systems. You will assemble and install process spools, fit and install threaded socket weld pipe according to P&IDs, set majors in place, thread joints, test products, and cut and thread pipes using various tools. Additionally, you may assist with other tasks around the facility or support other tradesmen.
**Responsibilities**
Assemble and install process spools and threaded socket weld pipes.
Follow P&IDs for precise pipe installation.
Set majors in place and thread joints effectively.
Test the piping systems to ensure functionality.
Cut and thread pipes using cutting torches, pipe threaders, power, and hand tools.
Install automatic controls to regulate pipe systems.
Assist with miscellaneous facility tasks or support other tradesmen as needed.
**Essential Skills**
Experience in pipe fitting and assembly.
Proficiency in reading and applying blueprints and P&IDs.
Troubleshooting skills.
Experience with compression or process piping (1+ years).
Ability to perform bolt-up and work with spools.
Experience with threaded pipe.
Knowledge of fall protection and overhead crane operations.
Hydrotest, piping, fabrication, and installation skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Manufacturing facility exp. (1+ years)
Sitdown forklift operation.

**Work Environment**
The facility is located in the SE industrial area. Known for its work in compression and process piping for oil and gas applications, the company offers opportunities on both day and afternoon shifts. Day shift runs from 5:50 AM to 4:20 PM, Monday to Thursday, while the afternoon shift runs from 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday. Work includes a 1st day/week orientation with the Assembly Foreman and a member of the HSE team, followed by buddy work for the initial days and daily P&ID layouts.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $42.84 - $45.84/hr.
